VP & Director named as Leadership Louisville Center expands executive team and staff

LEADERSHIP LOUISVILLE CENTER EXPANDS EXECUTIVE TEAM & STAFF

In its 40th anniversary year, the Leadership Louisville Center is expanding its executive team and staff to achieve its ambition to grow the Center as a national thought leader in the realm of social impact leadership. The executive team changes are: Lisa Zangari was promoted to a Vice President role and Anthony Alongi was hired as the new Director of Finance & Administration. Staff growth includes: Xaimara Torres hired as Membership & Marketing Specialist, Jessica Keene hired for a new position as Business Office Assistant, and the Center is seeking an additional new hire, a Leadership Development Manager, to meet growing demand for leadership and talent development.

“We’re proud of the impact we’ve had over the course of our 40-year history, not only locally, but also as an innovator among community leadership programs across the country,” said Cynthia Knapek, president of the Leadership Louisville Center. “As we continue to develop more leaders and as our reach expands beyond the Louisville region, growth of our team is a critical component to ensuring our success.”

Lisa Zangari

Lisa Zangari joined the Center in 2016 to launch the Leadership Green Room, which serves as the professional and leadership development arm of the Center. In her role as Vice President, she will help drive new initiatives including building the capacity of nonprofit and women leaders, and support for business/employee resource groups both in terms of how they impact their places of work but also filling our communities with a rich pipeline of diverse leaders. Having moved to Louisville after spending a large part of her career on the front lines of innovation in New York City, she now focuses her time and energy on leveraging leadership development to positively transform teams, organizations, and entire communities. Tony Alongi

Tony Alongi is the new Director of Finance and Administration for the Center. In his role, he will lead the financial operations of the Center along with human resources, information technology and facilities management. He has had a long and diverse career in finance most recently serving as a senior financial executive in the retail grocery sector with three food cooperatives in New Hampshire, Indiana and, most recently California. Prior to that, his career encompassed several diverse roles, including nearly a decade as an expatriate in Germany, Switzerland and France working in corporate finance for General Motors. Xaimara Torres

Xaimara Torres is the new Membership & Marketing Specialist, responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies to build awareness and support for all programs, courses, events, and activities of the Center. She relocated to Louisville after serving as marketing manager for Aramark Higher Education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Florida International University.

 

 

Jessica Keene

Jessica Keene also joined the Center in a new position as Business Office Assistant.

With a purpose to inspire and equip leaders to be better and do better, it has graduated over 10,000 through its civic programs since 1979.
