Upcoming 100 Wise Women events to feature Shannon Cogan and Carolyn Tandy

Louisville, Kentucky (August 2, 2018) – Together with presenting sponsor Chase, the Leadership Louisville Center and Today’s Woman magazine host 100 Wise Women to bring successful women leaders – Wise Women – together with emerging women leaders to share perspectives on themes presented by distinguished keynote speakers.

The remaining 2018 events will feature two well-known and loved Louisville women leaders. The September 13 keynote speaker is Shannon Cogan, news anchor at WAVE 3 TV, who as the mother of twin boys is known for her family’s active work for organizations that assist children’s health. Prior to coming to Louisville in 2013, Cogan was a news anchor in Miami, Dallas and Orlando, covering stories about former Dallas Cowboys players, the Columbia space shuttle disaster and the 2000 presidential election.

The final 2018 event on November 27 will feature Carolyn Tandy, diversity director for Texas Roadhouse.

About 100 Wise Women

Designed to increase the base of Louisville’s qualified, connected women leaders, over 1,150 women attended the events in 2017, representing about 350 companies from industries including major employers, small businesses, professional service firms, universities, government agencies and nonprofit organizations of all kinds. Every event has sold to capacity since the series started in 2007. Proceeds from 100 Wise Women go to the Joan Riehm Women’s Leadership Fund, created to allow women to participate in Leadership Louisville Center programs.  Since the scholarship fund was created in 2007, 138 women have received scholarships totaling more than $128,000.
