This course is based on the book, The Leadership Code – a research-based synthesis of the critical knowledge, skills, and attributes essential for effective leadership. It draws on interviews with renowned leadership theorists, researchers, and consultants, who together have written over 60 books and thousands of articles, and administered over two million leadership 360° assessments.

Leaders that attend will learn how to better manage talent by focusing on competence, commitment, and relevance to achieve peak performance. Participants will also learn how to coach reports around difficult issues, communicate with reports in a way that engages discretionary effort and breaks through noise, and tell tactical and strategic stories to help reports understand impact. These topics will be explored through hands-on exercises, video vignettes, discussion, and a personal challenge that participants will identify and solve throughout the workshop.

Mark Nyman

Mark Nyman is President of the Solutions Business with The RBL Group.  He has spent his career assisting organizations in transforming themselves by creating strategic focus and aligning the design of their organizations.  He has expertise in large system change, organization design, and executive development.  Mark has used his expertise in various settings including start-ups, existing organizations, and in mergers/joint ventures. He uses high involvement as a way of building ownership and helps his clients think differently about the issues that challenge them.

Katrina HarmonKatrina Harmon is an independent consultant who works with organizations to improve their business results by changing the way they work. She focuses on strategy implementation through business process, organization, and human resource system design.  Katrina also has extensive training, facilitation, and survey design experience.
