This course builds on the the best-selling book, The New One-Minute Manager®, to help with the exciting and challenging transition to management. It also introduces concepts from the world’s most trained leadership model, Situational Leadership®.

Learning Outcomes

In this newly developed first-time manager curriculum, Blanchard identifies four skills and conversations all managers must master. Participants will learn:

  • Manager Mindset – the mindset required to transition from individual contributor to manager
  • Four Conversations Model – a highly effective framework for understanding conversations needed to manage people and performance
  • Four Essential Skills – tools to have purposeful conversations that create positive, productive relationships

Plus Digital Learning for a Year

After the workshop, participants have access to the First-Time Manager Challenge, an online portal that guides learners through a set of tasks to practice skills back on the job. They also have access to the Blanchard app, workshop videos, and worksheets for a full year.
