Louisville, Kentucky (August 23, 2013) – The last 100 Wise Women event in 2013 will feature WAVE-TV’s Jean West, a woman with a fascinating career story. Jean started her broadcasting career with the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service in Japan and later became Louisiana’s first African-American, prime-time co-anchor. That job led to many interesting stories and some potentially dangerous situations. Join us for Jean’s inspiring and entertaining story on Wednesday, October 2 from 8-10 a.m. at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Ave. NOTE: This event is sold out.
