Three of the most in-demand skill sets for individual performers and executives will make up the curriculum for the Leadership Louisville Center’s upcoming Leadership Green Room courses. These courses are also the first to be hosted at the Center’s new modern training facility at 707 W. Main Street.
Apr. 12-13
Developing and leading high-performance teams can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your career – and also one of the most challenging. The Center’s two-day course on April 12-13 is designed to help participants unlock the full potential of their people and increase organizational effectiveness. Led by director of learning Lisa Zangari, the course will build understanding of how to overcome and manage common team dysfunctions and how to harness the diverse strengths of teams for greater creativity and productive collaboration. Courageous Conversations: Master Situational Communication | Facilitators: The People Development Team/business theatre (For emerging executives and senior leaders) | $1,350
Courageous Conversations must be had with confidence and credibility for executives to be successful. This executive education course is conducted with actors and corporate training professions to bring to life the difficult conversations participants have grappled with, offering vital practice around their most challenging situations. Facilitators will offer tools to improve effectiveness and personally coach participants through individual challenges.
With practice and agility, courageous conversations can provide a powerful avenue for bringing about organizational change, along with saving time, alleviating stress and reducing frustration.

ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP GREEN ROOM
The Leadership Green Room is a calendar of courses produced by the Leadership Louisville Center that are designed to help leaders develop, practice and master the leadership trade. Just as actors visit “the green room” to prepare for their moment in the spotlight, this calendar of leadership education courses offer opportunities for individuals to execute at the highest level and enhance their professional capabilities for future success. Courses are designed for leaders at all levels, including executives, C-suite leaders, emerging leaders, new supervisors, and everything in between.
The Leadership Green Room allows the Center to play an ever more vital role in helping the business community develop their best talent, resulting in meaningful increases in leadership knowledge, capability and confidence among participants. The Executive Green Room brings world-class executive education to the region for leaders with significant management responsibility. Since the Leadership Green Room was launched in 2015, it has grown to meet the talent development needs for organizations of all types, with over 200 businesses sending participants through the leadership development courses. A unique feature of the programming is the opportunity to learn not only from local facilitators, but the Center also brings in global thought leaders to make leading-edge curriculum accessible in the Louisville region.
The Leadership Louisville Center is a Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) approved provider and Green Room courses meet the criteria for recertification credits. The Leadership Green Room courses can also be submitted for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) for individuals licensed to practice as certified public accountants.
Beginning in 2018, Green Room courses will be hosted in the Center’s new location at 707 W. Main Street. Designed to be a nationally-recognized center for leadership development and social innovation, the new facility is surrounded by natural light and equipped with modern technologies and amenities. Participants will enjoy a learning environment that promotes the exchange of ideas and stimulates creativity. Visitors to Louisville have easy access to hotels and after-hours activities in the heart of downtown’s Museum Row.
