Jeff Bringardner elected as Chair

Louisville, Kentucky (August 22, 2014) – The Leadership Louisville Center is announcing the newly elected officers and members of its Board of Directors, who began their term July 1, 2014. The 2015 Board Chair is Jeff Bringardner, Regional Vice President Market Development, Humana-Kentucky/Ohio. (More about Jeff Bringardner below)
Other elected officers are: Sandra Frazier, Tandem Public Relations – Chair-Elect; Malcolm Berkley, UPS Airlines – Vice Chair; John Crockett, Frost Brown Todd LLC – Vice Chair; Michael Moll, PNC Bank – Vice Chair; Tom Partridge, Fifth Third Bank – Vice Chair, Jennifer Hughes, DMLO CPAs – Secretary/Treasurer; Todd Spencer, Doe-Anderson – Immediate Past Chair; and John Reed, Reed Weitkamp Schell & Vice, PLLC – Counsel.
Nine community leaders also joined the Board as Directors for a three-year term. They are: Marland Cole, Baptist Health; Scott Colosi, Texas Roadhouse; Condrad Daniels, Houston-Johnson, Inc.; Marjorie Farris, Stites & Harbison PLLC; David Hardy, CBRE Louisville; Rick Marshall, Christian Care Communities; Brian Reynolds, Archdiocese of Louisville; John D. Smith, Horseshoe Southern Indiana; and Michelle Wells, Yum! Brands, Inc. Also new on the board are ex-officio directors: Jean Lee as new president of the Young Professionals Association of Louisville(YPAL); Kent Oyler, President and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc.; James Ramon Ponder as new president of Louisville Urban League Young Professionals; and Hala Ziady as new president of the Junior League of Louisville.

About Jeff Bringardner:
As a graduate of the Leadership Louisville Class of 2007, Jeff Bringardner is a longtime a supporter of the Leadership Louisville Center. He joined the Board of Directors in July 2009 and will serve as Board Chair through June 2015.
With a career that spans more than three decades in the group insurance and health industry, Jeff Bringardner is a master at mastering change. As leader of Humana’s Kentucky/Ohio markets, Jeff is helping his 600,000 member region and some of the region’s largest employers prepare for the next major changes. Prior to becoming the leader of this region, Jeff was Market President of Humana Kentucky, Vice President of Commercial Sales, Vice President of National Accounts, Vice President of Large Group Commercial Sales, and Senior Director of Sales. In each of these roles, Jeff worked with local business owners to customize a benefits plan for their employees. He is a certified health care consultant and holds a MBA from Xavier University.
As a 17-year veteran of Humana, Jeff says one of the best recent adaptations at the company is its broadening of the definition of health to include emotional, social and spiritual wellness and lifelong well-being. Jeff balances his work life by enjoying golf, hunting and gardening. He is engaged with the American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer, Greater Louisville Inc., Leadership Louisville, and member of the Kentucky Health Exchange Board. His wife and two children fill the rest of his time with family travel.
