“Lead Like a Boss” course coming Jan. 17th

It’s what you can’t see that is holding you back

Blind spots can plague even the best leaders. The further you climb in your career, the more your effectiveness is dependent on your ability to deliver results through others. The expertise that served you well in the past must take a back seat to focusing on how to draw out the best in those you lead. To navigate relationships, and to inspire and motivate others, leaders must cultivate new layers of skills and be willing to identify and overcome weaknesses that matter.

The best leaders have confidence in their abilities, but also have enough wisdom to know that they don’t see everything. They understand that there are always times when it makes sense to throw away the playbook that doesn’t serve them and get a new one that takes them where they want to go.

Enter Lead Like a Boss. The Leadership Louisville Center has designed a day of learning to help professionals who want to take their career to the next level. It’s focused on how to overcome leadership blind spots and bad habits and continue developing your leadership brand.

“This course blends principles of emotional intelligence with the rigor of change management,” said Lisa Zangari, director of learning for Center, who also facilitates the course. “Participants walk away with a personal action plan to help them grow from the ‘manager’ to ‘influential and effective leader of others.’”

A past participant had this to say about her experience. “I am a very driven, confident and results-oriented person, and imagined that would be enough to move up at my firm. This workshop helped me see that how I work with co-workers and ‘my brand’ are just as important to my professional success. I can now start taking steps in the right direction to better collaborate and communicate with my team,” said Mandy McNabb, Consultant, Denali Group

Ready to sign up? The course will be offered Friday, January 17, 2020 as part of the Leadership Green Room suite of courses.
