What is the Ignite Louisville Program?

Designed for young professionals and up-and-coming leaders, Ignite Louisville is an award-winning six-month leadership development program. If accepted to this competitive program, participants will experience one day per month of professional development from our community’s top trainers. ­They then put these skills into action with teams of peers to implement significant positive outcomes for a local nonprofit, advancing our nonprofit sector and developing their ability to work on a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Ignite Louisville participants represent some of the region’s most successful organizations. The curriculum, network-building, and hands-on work experienced in this program can benefit up and coming leaders across all sectors, industries, and backgrounds.

Our Curriculum

Participants get top training from some of the region’s most high-profile corporations, covering essential leadership competencies such as:

  • Self-assessment and leveraging strengths
  • Achieving sustainable results
  • Conflict management and building collaborative relationships
  • Influencing and engaging others
  • Cultivating and implementing innovative ideas

Details and Tuition

  • Dates and Deadlines: Ignite Louisville is offered twice a year (April-October and October-April). See our program calendar.
  • Time Commitment: The program includes a mandatory two-day opening retreat, followed by one full program day per month and time spent working with a nonprofit partner in the Ignite Louisville Challenge civic leadership project.
  • Tuition: Tuition for Ignite Louisville is $4,200. This includes overnight retreat lodging, meals, and materials. Partial tuition assistance through Leadership Louisville Center is available based on need if your organization cannot fully fund a participant.
