Members of the Leadership Louisville Center were invited to next Thought Leadership Series event on Wednesday, February 20. The event featured the always-inspiring Rev. Dr. Kevin W. Cosby of St. Stephen Church and Simmons College of Kentucky. Dr. Cosby shared his reflections in celebration of African American History Month.
Attendees were among the first to visit the Frazier History Museum’s new exhibit, “Spirits of the Passage: The Story of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.” The museum’s Executive Director Madeleine Burnside (BF ’11, LL ’09), a slave trade historian, shared details of the haunting world event and the power of the human spirit displayed through the nearly 150 historical objects covering more than 350 years.
Following the program, attendees were invited to stay and visit the “Spirits of the Passage” exhibit at the Frazier History Museum.
