September Focus Louisville class gets a glimpse into Louisville's past and future
  44 Louisvillians recently spent 2 1/2 days learning from some of Louisville's most passionate leaders about what makes Louisville extraordinary. Inspired by who they met, what they heard, and places they visited, the group left the experience with a desire to get personally involved in Louisville's forward momentum.

Leaders in the News
 University Medical Center Inc. has named to its board: (at left) Lindy Street (LL '90, BF '99), Joan Coleman, (FL '01) president of AT&T Kentucky, Mary Griffith, vice chairman of National City Bank.
Tina Kaufmann (LL '07), associate vice president for development at Bellarmine University, was recently appointed to serve on the National Kidney Foundation of Kentucky Board of Directors.
 The Rotary Club of Louisville, Inc. has named new board members: as president, (at left) James Smith III (LL '84, BF '91) as second vice president, Richard Clay (LL'89 BF '96) and as director, Raymond Strothman (LL '06).
Kenny Boyd (LL '04, LN '05), founder and executive director of Youth Alive Inc., was recently named to the Jefferson Community and Technical College Board of Directors.
Anita Barbee, Ph. D., (LL '98, BF '99, '02), professor and Distinguished University Scholar at the Kent School of Social Work at U of L, received the Career Achievement Award for her work in child welfare training and evaluation from the American Public Human Services Association's, National Staff Development and Training Association in Dallas in September.

| Nov. 14 One Hundred Wise Women features Lynn Pendergrass
Lynn Pendergrass was named the president and chief executive officer of GE Consumer & Industrial, Americas, in November of 2005. In this role, she has direct responsibility for all commercial related activities for appliances, lighting and industrial products throughout North America and Profit and Loss responsibilities including manufacturing and technology for all activities within the Americas, a $10.5 billion revenue business.

Launched in Mar. 2007 by the Leadership Louisville Center and Today's Woman magazine, One Hundred Wise Women offers a unique forum for non-traditional mentoring and peer-to-peer conversation for women. Bingham Fellows Class of 2008 now accepting applications
REGIONAL PARTNERSHIPS: Creating the landscape of the future.
How can we change the way we think and act together as a region to ensure balanced metropolitan growth?
The Bingham Fellows Class of 2008 will be the catalysts for this change using GE's change acceleration tools. The class begins in Jan., 2008.

Over 160 attended the One Hundred Wise Women forum in September
View Pointe Hall at the Muhammad Ali Center provided a beautiful setting for the gathering of Louisville's established and emerging women leaders. More than 30 Wise Women were on hand to meet with talented female professionals and executives. Many thanks to all who attended to teach, learn, and share.
