Participate in the 2007 Bingham Fellows Add It Up Challenge

The Add It Up Challenge will be held on Saturday, August 11 and is designed to combat "math and science apathy" and build public awareness and community demand for world class achievement in math and science in our schools.
Saturday, August 11
Add It Up! 5K Run/Walk, 8 a.m. - Main Street between 6th and 8th
Add It Up Science and Math Alive! Street Party, immediately following the race (approximately 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.)
A 5K run/walk through downtown Louisville, will raise awareness of the ways math and science are at work in our everyday lives through signage along the route; followed by a street party with music, door prizes, and demonstrations by the Louisville Science Center and Frazier International History Museum.
Students who show their JCPS K-12 Library card will have their entry fee waived and can run in the 5K for free.
Add It Up with the Louisville Bats
The Bingham Fellows will partner with the Louisville Bats for a little math and science fun:
Rapper Li'l Nick, featured artist on the CD "Hip Hop Multiplication" will be giving out autographed copies of his fun and educational CD. To win a CD, kids will "Rap some math" for Li'l Nick, at a table manned by the Bingham Fellows, near the playground area at Slugger Field.
Parents can win prizes by competing in "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" They'll answer math and science questions at that same table location, to win prizes.
The entire stadium will also be challenged to a few questions on the giant video screen.
