Bingham Fellows "In School" with Christopher 2X, R Prophet and Radio One B-96!

Bingham fellows for GC The 2007 Bingham Fellows have been challenged with engaging the community in support of the Jefferson County Public Schools Math and Science Initiative funded by a $25 million grant from the GE Foundation.

To meet this challenge, one of the Bingham Fellows teams— the “In School” Work Group—is currently working with Christopher 2X. The group of Fellows will assist with the April 1 production of the radio show “The Streets are Talking” - a live show which airs at 2 p.m. on B96, hosted by Christopher 2X and musician - R Prophet.
The entire show will be dedicated to math and science issues and will include an on-air forum of students, parents and Fellows discussing the importance of math and science achievement and the JCPS curriculum changes for grades K-8.

Additionally, the “In School” Work Group is working with students in the Thomas Jefferson Middle School communications program to videotape portions of the forum and produce a music video/PSA with R Prophet.

This is just one of the ways the Bingham Fellows are generating community support for quality public education.

The “In School” Work Group includes: Dana Allen, Brown-Forman Corporation; Suzanne Bergmeister, University of Louisville College of Business; David Bingham, Business First; Amy Cubbage, Frost Brown Todd LLC; and Tyson Gorman, Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP.
