How to Apply for Leadership Louisville

When to apply

Applications for the Leadership Louisville Class of 2011 (beginning in August 2010) open Monday, March 1, 2010. The deadline for applications is Monday, April 19 at midnight.

How to apply

The Leadership Louisville Application consists of several components. Applications are not considered complete until we receive the following items:

• Three recommendations. Please instruct those submitting recommendations on your behalf to use our online Recommendation Form. 

• A completed online application. Once your application is begun online, it must be completed in one session. The application process automatically times out after 60 minutes. Only online applications will be accepted.  Follow these steps to make the completion process as smooth as possible:
  
  
  • Download and print Preparing your Leadership Louisville Application (pdf) prior to applying online. This document details the information you'll need to complete the online application.
    
  • Prepare your answers to the three essay questions in advance. You may compose your responses in Word or another word processor and copy and paste your responses into the online application.
    
• A photograph suitable for print and online use. Photos may be uploaded through the online application.
  
• No other documents will be considered

Deadline

All materials must be submitted to the Leadership Louisville Center no later than Monday, April 19 at midnight. 

Notice of selection

Applicants will be notified of the selection decisions in June.

Tuition

Tuition for this program is $5,000.  We also require a commitment to attending program days. Scholarships are available based on need. The scholarship application is part of the Leadership Louisville online application.

Program Calendar

The program begins with a new class orientation in June and a mandatory overnight opening retreat in August. Program days are held on Tuesdays, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
