A 9-month commitment with a lifetime of outcomes

The new Louisville's strategy for civic engagement must reflect a current reality of the need for new leaders  the starting point is the Leadership Louisville Center.

The Leadership Louisville Center is the hub for a network of leaders that crosses economic and social boundaries, inspiring and challenging talented professionals to serve as catalysts for a stronger community.

The Leadership Louisville experience is a unique combination of relationship-building, learning, problem-solving, civic engagement and personal growth. The program structure is tried and true and the product is hundreds of motivated, informed, connected individuals ready to take on the challenges and opportunities faced by our city, their companies, and their families.

Annually, the best and brightest individuals are selected from a pool of applicants to build a Leadership Louisville class representative of the city of Louisville and full of energy, intellect and motivation.

We pack Leadership Louisville program days with activities and opportunities that you simply cannot get anywhere else. Your experiences will include exploration of neighborhoods and schools, jail tours and police car ride-alongs, and a behind-the-scenes look at legislation in Frankfort.

You'll discuss challenging topics with classmates and possibly never reach agreement, but you'll gain a different perspective. You will cross paths with people whom you would never likely meet in your day-to-day life, but you may make a lifetime connection with them.

If you choose to lead, your city, your neighborhood, at work or at home, you'll find that you have the tools you need.

In the end, you'll find you've grown as a person and changed as a citizen.
