What is the Make Your Mark Challenge?

Every year participants in the Leadership Louisville Center's Ignite Louisville program are challenged by Maker's Mark Distillery to make their leadership mark on our community.

The Ignite Louisville class is divided into teams and each team is tasked with designing, coordinating and executing a project in concert with a local nonprofit to make our community a better place.

At the end of the program, the projects are judged by a panel of esteemed leaders and a winner is chosen.

Check out the impressive results of this year's teams.

Center for Women and FamiliesOrganizing an annual raffle to fund staffing for crisis center

The Six and the City team worked with the Center for Women and Families, an organization serving as an advocate for victims of domestic and sexual violence and economic hardship.

The team organized the raffle of a diamond pendant which raised $9,300 for the Center as part of their annual fundraiser. In addition, they raised $3,000 through table sponsorships and secured $7,000 worth of items for the event's silent auction. Raffle proceeds will ensure that the Center's Crisis Room is fully-staffed 24/7. The raffle will continue in future years. Members of the team have been invited to serve on the Center's board.
