The issue: How do we identify the next generation of talent who will help create a cool region, to attract the jobs and workforce of the future?
Corporations are struggling with the challenge. And so are communities.
That's why we need your leadership skills as part of the 2009 Bingham Fellows class to help to develop innovative solutions.
This issue is a key component to the regional economic development strategy currently underway by Greater Louisville Inc. and the Wired 65 initiative.

Ignite Louisville teams choose 8 nonprofits for Make Your Mark Challenge projects
The Ignite Louisville Class of 2009 is off and running in the Make Your Mark Challenge, an annual competition that pairs teams of talented young professionals with local nonprofits.
This year's teams will partner with 8 of our community organizations:
Dreams With Wings, Inc.
- Dress for Success Louisville
- ECHO, Exploited Children's Help Organization
- Gilda's Club Louisville
- House of Ruth
- Nativity Academy at St. Boniface
- Project Women, Inc./Family Scholar House
- The Cabbage Patch Settlement House, Inc.

Over 400 leaders gathered at Beyond Boundaries summit
The Bingham Fellows Class of 2008 and Wired65 jointly hosted a gathering of regional leaders at the Galt House on Nov. 7.
Participants heard from consultants Tom Stellman of TIP Strategies in Austin, Texas, and Rebecca Ryan of Next Generation Consulting in Madison, Wisconsin, who presented research findings from our 26-county region. The presentations highlighted the strengths and challenges facing our region.

Representatives from Denver and Purdue University discussed initiatives developed in their regions from WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) grants.
