Leadership Louisville Center Announces New Hires and Promotion

Louisville, Kentucky (July 3, 2012) – The Leadership Louisville Center has hired two new staff members, Max Maxwell, Program Specialist and J.D. Malcom, Communications Specialist and promoted Alicia Ariatti to Event Manager.

Max Maxwell

Max Maxwell joined the Center in June as Program Specialist and will be responsible for program development for the Bingham Fellows.  He previously served as President of Maximum Results, a PR/Marketing/Advertising consulting agency and as Executive Producer of Urban Lifestylez, a locally produced TV show on the CW.

He is a past member of the National Executive Committee of 100 Black Men of America, past President of 100 Black Men of Louisville and a current board member. He is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Louisville, Jefferson Community College, and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in communication, advertising, marketing and business and professional communication. He is the author of “Equally Yoked” a fictional exploration of the African American males’ quest to find his soul mate.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Broadcast Communication and Advertising from Western Kentucky University.

JD Malcom

JD Malcom

J.D. Malcom joined the Center in April as Communications Specialist and is a contributing member of the marketing team.  He previously worked for Angie’s List in Indianapolis where he served in a variety of design and operations roles.

He designed magazine and promotional pages, managed the advertising design team, served as project manager for ~400k in new software implementation and oversaw production of 64 market-specific publications per month. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Indiana University and master’s in business administration, with a focus on marketing, from the Kelley School of Business.

 

Alicia Ariatti

Alicia Ariatti previously held the position of program coordinator.  As Event Manager, she will be responsible for coordinating and executing multiple aspects of Leadership Louisville Center programs, events and other activities.

Alicia has twelve years of experience in event management.  She relocated to Louisville from San Francisco, CA where she was most recently an Account Manager with Sparks Exhibits managing details of tradeshow booth production and execution. Alicia received her B.A. in Communication from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA.
