Leadership Louisville Connector Project
At the Leadership Louisville Center, we are doing something unprecedented for our 30th Anniversary. With your help, we are recognizing the leaders who live and work among us that create positive change. Over 19,100 names were submitted by the community during the nomination process in Sept. and Oct. They are the everyday heroes, leaders and champions that you know who are connected enough throughout our community to truly make a difference.
Thanks to great partners and the community enthusiastic support – we truly have reached our goal of creating a community conversation about leadership.
What's next?
The nominations are now being analyzed to celebrate the Connectors in our community. We expect to recognize the list of Connectors in early 2010. Following the announcement, additional research will be conducted to determine their leadership characteristics to share with future leaders. A map of leadership will be built for a high-level visual of connection and leadership in the region.

Leadership Louisville Connector Project Background
Our project is modeled on a ground-breaking effort by Leadership Philadelphia in which people throughout the region were asked to nominate individuals they know and trust, who work for the common good and roll up their sleeves to get results. The result was an outpouring of thousands of new names, a high-profile community conversation on new leadership and an emphasis on how everyday people do make a difference.
